Shauni Ryan

PointCookDance teachers are qualified dance professionals with a real love of dance. Their combined energies and creativity are what makes PointCookDance a great place to learn dancing. The teaching team supports a positive attitude towards learning; has an approachable, friendly manner; and stays relevant by attending regular classes, workshops and in-service seminars. This ensures their expertise in both traditional techniques and up to the minute trends.

Dance Teacher

Shauni’ love for dance started at the age of 3 where she commenced her dance training at the Barbara Lynch School of Dance. Competing in numerous dance competitions over Melbourne Shauni was awarded many first place awards and Dance Agrette awards for her age division in all styles of dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Character, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre.

Her professional debut commenced at age 6 where her stared as Molly in the musical Annie at the Regent Theatre in Melbourne. Shortly followed by staring as Nellie in the professional production of Oliver. One of Shauni’s  career highlights was working alongside Marina Prior in the production of Annie Get your Gun.

Shauni also participated in many Television commercials including a McDonald’s, Cadbury Favourites, Forty Winks and National Smiley Day TV ads. She also enjoyed modelling in many catwalks representing new season’s for multiple brands.

Shauni explored her love and passion for teaching in 2014 when she commenced as a Dance Teacher at Point Cook Dance. She is a kind and nurturing teacher who strives to assist her students in reaching their goals. Shauni is very excited to be re-joining the Point Cook Dance team this year and is looking forward to meeting her students.
