Students of PointCookDance are asked to:

White fitted T-shirt
Attend all classes leading up to an examination, competition or performance
Contact PointCookDance regarding absences
Agree to our Behaviour Policy:
Behave in a manner appropriate to a cooperative group learning environment
Show respect toward the teachers and other members of the group
Arrive before the commencement time for class
Be dressed and ready to dance before entering the studio
Follow the Uniform & Dress Code as set out in the PointCookDance Brochure
Bring a filled water bottle to class
Turn off mobile phones during class
Jewellery & accessories of any kind should not be worn to class.

Students are not permitted to leave the studio without:

A parent or carer
Permission of a parent or carer; or
The knowledge of a representative of PointCookDance.

Viewing of classes is restricted to: - Open Days.
No cameras, videos or mobile phones are permitted in classes, dance studios or dressing rooms

Parents:

Please read all PointCookDance emails, newsletters and notices
Add PointCookDance as an email contact
Check the notice board regularly
We are always happy to discuss issues with parents, but ask that you ring or email the office out of class time so we can give the students our full attention during class time
Please supervise your child until the start of class
Please collect your child and vacate the studio promptly at the end of class
PointCookDance does not offer baby-sitting, either at the start or end of class

Fee Payments:

Payments should follow the FEE POLICY as set out in the PointCookDance brochure
There may be 9, 10 or 11 weeks in a term
Term Fees are due in Week 1 of each term and are payable in advance of classes
Term Fees are not calculated on a per class basis, with the exception of a new student’s first term
The Term Fee acts as a term registration, and holds a place in the class even during absences
EARLY BIRD CREDITS for future use apply until midday of the last day of the term prior
ADMIN CHARGE of $20.00 applies to fees not received by PointCookDance by the 4th Saturday of term
There are no refunds or concessions for occasional classes missed, change of mind, family holidays, etc. A credit note may be offered in exceptional circumstances
Students are welcome to attend make-up classes in lieu of classes missed

If a new student participates in any PointCookDance classes after the free trial class, PointCookDance will assume that the student is enrolling for the remainder of the term at PointCookDance, that parents of the student agree to pay the full invoiced fee, and that parents of the student have read & agree with the PointCookDance GUIDELINES.

ENROLMENT IS CONFIRMED ONLY UPON THE RECEIPT OF THE FULL FEE PAYMENT, A SIGNED ENROLMENT FORM and acceptance of our COVID SAFE requirements.

COVID Safe Policy

All enrolled and trial students and their families will be sent detailed COVID-safe procedures before the new term starts.

Key points will include:

Stay home if you are unwell; if you have any symptoms get tested. Please advise PCD immediately of your result.
What are the symptoms of COVID-19?
- • Fever • Chills or sweats • Cough • Sore throat • Shortness of breath • Runny nose • Loss of sense of smell
- • In certain circumstances headache, muscle soreness, stuffy nose, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea may also be considered..
If you are a close contact of a confirmed COVID infection, you must stay home and advise PCD.
No parents are allowed inside the dance studio.
Students must sanitise their hands before entering the dance studio and exiting the dance studio (sanitiser will be provided).
Teachers and staff will be sanitising or washing hands between every class.
Records of all students attending classes will be held and provided to DHHS if required.
All students 12 and over must wear a face mask as directed by DHHS. If we are doing strenuous activities your mask may be removed whilst you catch your breath.
Students and staff will be required to maintain a distance of 1.5m apart at all times.
Cover your mouth & nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow, then wash or sanitise your hands.
Students must arrive at classes on time and not early. We are not responsible for your child if they arrive early. Please pick your child up on time. We will advise entry and exit procedures for each studio closer to Term 1 commencing.
No props or Acro mats will be used in the short-term. All Acro students are required to bring their own mat.
All classes will be non-contact. This means no partner work, holding hands, hugs or high fives. Teachers will only apply physical correction if required for safety (e.g. in the case of Acro classes).
High touch surfaces such as door handles and ballet barres will be disinfected between classes. A strict cleaning schedule will be put into place.
We reserve the right to revert any or all classes to online delivery at any time in the event of staff illness, changing requirements by authorities, a case/suspected case of COVID-19 or for any other reason determined necessary by us.

In the event of an emergency if I am not contactable, I do hereby give permission to the representative of PointCookDance to use his or her discretion in determining the most appropriate course of action with regard to the best interests of the above named student/s.

PointCookDance will not be liable for any loss or injury incurred by the student/s while the student/s are attending PointCookDance classes, or traveling to or from PointCookDance classes.

Please list any known illnesses and details of administration of medication where these may be relevant to the student undertaking dance classes.

I have read, understood and agree to the conditions as set out in the PointCookDance Guidelines, including those regarding Fee Payments, Correspondence, Dress Code and emergency procedures.
